Water

So how much water should I be drinking, and is it true that drinking lots of water can quell hunger pains? - Yellow Team Rules!!!!

  1. You should be drinking at least eight 8 oz. glasses of water a day! I do not know the stipulation that it quells hunger pains, but overall, water is an integral part of your metabolism, and therefore plays a role in when and what you "crave!"

  2. Lesley,

Water is so so so important to every conceivable function of your body. From waking up in the morning to driving to work, without water you can't do all those things. Macie's above recommendation is right on. I know some of my clients have struggled with hitting that mark so I few helpful hints I give them are:

    1. When you exercise your goal is to drink a full 16oz water bottle during workout

    2. When at work shoot for a glass every hour. And guess what when you empty the glass it will be perfect opportunity to get up and do a quick walk around work to water cooler.

    3. Drink water with your meals. It helps and with me it does make me a feel a little fuller.

  3. I have heard that too much water is hard on your kidneys. Is there any truth to that?
